Our Mission
Branford’s Education Hall of Fame was established in 1998 to recognize and honor Branford individuals or groups of individuals who have had a significant impact on education in Branford and beyond. Taking the broadest interpretation of the word “education,” the Hall of Fame seeks to honor worthy individuals or groups from the formal settings of education like the public schools, but also seeks to recognize other members of the community who work outside of the schools in making substantive contributions to education. In this inclusive approach, the Hall of Fame promotes the concept that “It takes a whole village to educate a child” in its celebration of the many facets of Branford that contribute to enhancing learning for all members of the community.
